In an effort to create an organization that encompasses all Hispanic Heritage individuals the name Alliance of Chicanos, Hispanics and Latin Americans was chosen.

ACHLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and advocating for the rights and well-being of Chicanos, Hispanics, and Latin Americans. Through community engagement, education, and outreach programs, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable society for all. Volunteer at ACHLA- Help Shape Our Community

  • Education

    Working closely with three Education Navigators, we're co-designing processes tailored to the needs of families. ACHLA's representation extends to other entities ensuring a domino effect of information sharing among Hispanic heritage and BIPOC communities.​

  • Economic Development

    SBDC partnered with ACHLA to offer at no cost, confidential consulting to assist individuals in SE Minnesota in identifying, understanding, and overcoming the challenges of starting a business, running a successful business, and developing exit strategies.

  • Civic Engagement

    From voter registration to workforce development, we're empowering community members with knowledge of their rights and responsibilities.

  • Health

    Demonstrate steadfast commitment to Health Equity Research and community engagement, fostering impactful contributions to health promotion and wellness. 

  • Communication

    Serving as a bridge for bi-directional communication, facilitating multicultural community engagement through the exchange of relevant information.

  • Cultural Exhange

    Not all Latinos are the same, we are all different and unique. Joins at Latino Fest to celebrate the diversity that is Latin America. 

Through strategic partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and recent staff members we offer: culturally appropriate support,  math tutoring, bike culture promotion, health and wellbeing support, economic development and enrichment activities. 

Our focus is to assist migrant and immigrant families facing educational, health, and enrichment challenges.
